So, I've decided to start organizing and decorating my classroom in July. School is still over seven and a half weeks away, but I've been eager to get into my newly waxed classroom and set up for this upcoming school year. I love watching my classroom take shape over the year, but the summer months are a truly enjoyable 'under construction' experience. I always love the shift in vibe from year to year, and spending the hours designing and decorating over the summer are incredibly rewarding.
Some new features: reading canopy in the back corner (so far just a black hula hoop), two new moon chairs with red pillows, black and gold confetti bulletin board borders, black paper backgrounds.
What a phenomenal year in eighth grade. I was blessed with wonderful students, and I feel so fortunate and rewarded for being their teacher this year. Thank you to the many parents who filled out an 'end-of-the-year' evaluation of me, and most especially, thank you, eighth graders for a fantastic conclusion to my sixth year of teaching.
I'd like to recognize and congratulate the four students who earned an outstanding achievement and effort award this year.
