Digital Booktalks

 So, I'm 'Kicking it Up a Notch' and trying something new to engage my students in books that I've read. I'm currently taking an online course titled "Kicking it Up a Notch! Digital Booktalk Strategies and Presentation Tools." It's a self-paced, three- week course where I explore a variety of styles in the creation and presentation of booktalks. I'm enjoying being the 'student' in this context, because I'm creating projects that I'm considering integrating into my outside reading book projects, which need some revamping and installation of fresh ideas.
So far, I've created a Wiki Page, using Wikispaces, and a comic strip, using Pixton. I'm looking forward to trying more of these 'techy' booktalks, showing these to my students and hearing their thoughts, but even more, I'm can't wait to see their creations!
